Program Description

The Plumbing Technician Certificate Program is a postsecondary vocational training program designed to prepare students for entry-level employment in the plumbing trade within the State of Illinois. The program provides foundational instruction in residential and light commercial plumbing systems consistent with Illinois industry standards.

This program does not license students as plumbers. Graduates are prepared to seek employment as plumbing apprentices, plumbing helpers, or entry-level technicians under the supervision of a licensed plumbing contractor in accordance with Illinois law.
